Day 9 & 10 - St. Clair, MI

Well, the internet and cell phones are spotty here at my parents cottage in St. Clair, so I am sitting outside on the wrap around porch, in the humidity, trying to type this blog fast!

Sam finally found someone to ride his dirt bike with who can ride "Sam's Way". He rode with my Uncle Rick and cousin Jeff, who have both been riding street and dirt bikes since they were kids.
Paige and Kenda were back in Uncle Rick's lake in the boat just like they were in 2006.
Sam's sister Trudi and her husband, Shawn flew into Detroit, rented a car and met us at the cottage. We pretty much just kicked around, rode quads (Sam rode his dirt bike), and slept, which was a nice change of pace from the driving we had been doing.
Trudi also took the time to give Johnny some pointers/lessons on his guitar that he brought on the trip. Trudi has a Master's Degree in music and besides teaching elementary school kids, has taught piano, flute, guitar, saxaphone and another instrument that I can't remember! Johnny soaked up the lessons and really appreciated Trudi's time.
We then took a trip into Port Huron to walk along Lake Huron, one of the Great Lakes. Across the Lake is Sarnia, Canada and the bridge we cross to go to Canada's Niagara Falls.

  1. We miss you all. I can't say that enough.
Love the cabin. If it were me I would buy and sell everything in California.
