Kenda made friends with a butterfly that she named Edwin
Sam took the time to work with each of the girls and Johnny to teach them how to properly ride the quad runners. Dispite thier complaints, he still made them wear pants, helmets and boots.
Hayle loved it and wanted to ride more so Sam, Hayle and I went riding off together while Johnny, Kenda and Paige stayed at the camp.He brought us to a trail that he used to ride at all the time, but it was flooded and he said it would be about 3 foot deep water/mud that we would have to go through! Hayle and I declined to get that wet!
So, time to look at the map... Sam decided that we would take another trail to some beaver dams.
As I was following Hayle, all of a sudden, I saw her loose control of her quad runner and ride off the edge of the hill, hit a rock, she flew off and rolled to the left as the quad flipped over to the right and then rolled down the hill. I jumped off my quad and ran after her. She popped up and I asked her if she was okay and she said yes. I had her sit down on a large rock near her while I went down the hill to see if I can get the quad back up the hill.
Sam rode back after he realized we weren't behind him anymore and rode the quad back up the hill. Amazingly Hayle only had bumps and bruises. Thank God for her helmet because her head hit a rock, but all she had was grass in the helmet. Her gloves flew off and the laces on one of her boots broke trying to hold her in the shoe. All things considered, she is lucky and the quad has some bent up rims, a flat right front tire and some bent plastic, but it still rides great! Sam said he can fix it when we get to Michigan so we can ride it more!
